FINAL BLOG POST!!!

evaluate the PSA project unit--what did you learn? what helped you to learn? What was the most challenging aspects of the unit? How could the unit be improved?  Well I learned a lot about film-making and film-editing from this project.  What helped me learn best was probably the short precise instructions followed with lots of time to practice.  That was quite useful.  The most challenging aspect of this unit was probably  getting the camera.  When my group tried to rent a camera they were all out and we had to use our own.  This unit was actually the best planned out unit I have ever had in school so I don't think that any improvement is needed.

Overall, do you think your PSA is effective? Why or why not?

Overall I think our PSA is effective.  I personally had my attention all on the PSA trying to figure out what the message was while at the same time thinking like "this is interesting". So that is why i think our PSA is effective, because it got my attention.

Are you content with your group's PSA? Why or Why not? Well my group has not finished editing but i feel confident in our group. i believe we are a great group of people and i felt the filming today was good.

Question: Where is your group in the video production process? What needs to be completed? What is working out well? What have been the obstacles?

Well my group has not started filming yet, so that is where we stand in the video production process. Everything needs to be completed, obviously because we have not started yet. I do not know the answers to the other questions because we haven't started yet. I plan to talk to me group very soon about starting filming.

GROUP EFFECTIVENESS

I believe my group is doing a very good job at creating an effective PSA.  I believe our PSA will be very good and will appeal to our target audience.  I don't think I will want to change anything about our PSA because I believe that our PSA already has good effectiveness.  Our PSA is going to be effective because it will show the problem in an attention-grabbing funny way.  Because it is an attention-grabbing funny PSA viewers will be drawn into our PSA and will get the message we are trying to share and find it important.

BLOG POST #2

Overall I believe my groups pitch went very well.  It seems that people liked our pitch, and there was very little negative feedback. because there was very little negative feedback and people seemed interested in our pitch, I believe our message is of public interest. our target audience is teenagers and our style will appeal to them because it is a humorous and its the kind of humor that teenagers like.

Effective Advertisement or Media

One advertisement that is effective is the Walmart ads. They are effective because they portray average everyday people in their ads to appeal to the average person. Advertising's role in what you buy is big, because you may want to buy something until you see an ad for something else. Ads can change your mind about what you will purchase, or where you will purchase products from.

What I've Learned

What I've learned from the last two visits from MTN is that there is a lot more to movie editing and structure than I initially thought.  I thought it was just a simple throw it together its simple type of thing. But now i realize that there is way more thanks to the visits from MTN. I do not have any idea what clip I plan to use yet for my critique. And media literacy is important because when dealing with media, its best to understand what you are doing.
